WORK DESCRIPTION
This playful, humorous duet dives headfirst into a game of one-upmanship, where Linebach and Thurman try to outdo each other in increasingly absurd, athletic, and unexpected ways. Inspired by the classic showtune of the same name in the musical Annie Get Your Gun, the piece builds through quick-witted exchanges, physical dares, and escalating antics. What begins as friendly competition quickly spirals into chaotic, evenly matched mischief. At its core, the duet celebrates rivalry as connection, but perhaps “anything one can do, they can do better; they can do anything, better as two!”
